“What a fantastic place to enjoy the countryside and close enough to the ski slopes. The best view in the valley with friendly farm animals to enjoy the full country experience. This property is very large/clean and can host a large number of guests”

“If you like the outdoors, getting stuck in, feeding chickens, sheep, cows and horses, collecting fresh eggs, getting muddy and experiencing a stay in a traditional homestead then this is the place for you. We stayed over the long weekend and from the moment we got there the kids had a ball! From just playing around the property exploring to fishing and lovely walks down the river. The options are endless! I personally love the outdoors and don't mind getting stuck in or dirty so a bit of mud didn't bother us. Would highly recommend this place, Ed the owner was great, really helpful and friendly and invited us to help feed the cows which the kids loved. What else made it special was the just the simplicity of it all and the piece and quiet. Hopefully we can stay again”

“Absolutely love our stay at the farm, this was our third year, it’s our new annual family holiday, Ed is always so welcoming, he is always busy working but always there if you need assistance. The swimming hole is great, space for kids to ride bikes up near the house, feeding the sheep and checking the chicken coup daily for eggs, it’s always a great experience and fun for the kids to get out of the city living lifestyle. We never want to leave! Thanks again Ed”

“Our first time staying here. The up most AMAZING place to stay when visiting the high country. Cannot fault anything at all. Very spacouse with wrap around balcony to enjoy meals outside with a view of the mountain ranges. The whole farm experience, exclusive seclusion and direct access to the ovens river was truly asstounding. The sheep and chickens are so friendly eating out of the palms of your hand. This has inspired me to venture to farm life and leave the daily grind as a city girl. There's so much opportunity from dirt bike riding, fishing in the dam, SUN BAKING and enjoying a fire whilst watching the stars and sipping a wine. The best of all..... Ed, the owner is one the most accomdating and friendly hosts I have come across. This place is our point of interest for our annual trip to bright! Thank you Ed for everything, next year you will have to come up and have a drink with us!”

“Riverbend Homestead was a fantastic farm stay for the family. Ed, the resident farmer runs a typical true Aussie farm with cattle and sheep. The farm also has horses and chooks which kids enjoyed feeding. We stayed in the middle and of winter which boasted beautiful alpine snow-peaked mountains in the distance while having the fireplace going all day/night keeping us cosy warm in the well appointed house. The ovens river Also runs through the property making for good fishing A great alpine getaway spot Tony & Carol”

“Awesome homestead in bright. Ed is a great host and always up for a chat. There are chickens, sheep, horses and an alpaca. You can feed the animals, the sheep will come up to you and eat from your hand. Lots of space to roam around the property. Definitely worth bringing your own bikes. There is a gas BBQ and a wood smoker.”
